Found in Mekong riverbed (the Golden Triangle region), Thailand.

Hag-stones are stones with naturally formed holes worn through the middle by water action (caused by the process of running water/erosion through over centuries of wave action). Hag-stones are extremely rare as they only form in unique conditions dependant on the geology and coastal geography of an area.

It is this association with running water (which itself is said to negate the effect of evil) that is believed by many people to be the source of the Hag Stone’s reputation for guarding their owner against ill-fortune and the Evil Eye. Steeped in mystery and legend, Hag Stones have been used in rituals, worn as talismans, and revered as protective amulets. They have been associated with magic, protection, and the ability to peer into other realms.

How to Use Them

For Protection & Warding off Nightmares
* Hanging a hagstone with any cord, thread or string for Protection. As the stone’s shape resembles an eye, it acted as a talisman to ward off ‘the evil eye’.
* Hang one from your bedpost, next to your bed, or wear it to ward off nightmares. In addition, the reason they are called hagstones is for this same reason – to prevent a hag from sitting on your chest at night (the supernatural explanation for sleep paralysis).
* Hang a hagstone in your car to deflect evil and misfortune.

Look into the Eye: The Hag Stone as a Seer Stone
For centuries, folks have used these magical stones to peer into the otherworld – the spiritual realm.
