Pure, all-natural honey from wild bees living in a clean, high mountain environment. This honey is sustainably harvested once a year (Duen 5 – 5th month right before the rainy season) by Lahu-Thai on Doi Pu Muen, Chiangmai, who remove some of the honeycomb, but leave enough for a healthy hive. Some of these hives have been continuously harvested for decades as they are left undisturbed for 11 months of the year. These bees - Apis Dorsata, also known as the giant honey bee – have been a part of the Lahu tribe tradition for centuries. They build natural shade hollows to protect the bees. The honey comes from the flowering plants and trees found growing in the mountain jungles on Doi Pu Muen, along with pollen from organic tea and coffee fields in the region.

This honey is an entirely natural, unsweetened, unfortified pollen-based honey, collected by wild bees living in an undeveloped mountain environment. Unlike manufactured honey or honey that is blended, fortified, or sweetened, every container of this honey is unique: what kind of flower, the season, and the mixture of flowers available to the bees will impact the taste. These slight variations in taste and color are how you can tell this product is all-natural.
